Do you find yourself being filed as a bad payer and can’t get out? Let’s find out together what this condition entails

Today we often hear about undrendered loans as you are reported as bad payers. The term bad payers is definitely negative and makes it harder to access a loan.

Although today there are some loan solutions even for bad payers, not everyone knows that they have ended up on that list and we are faced with a refusal by the financial institution without fully understanding the reason.

But let’s see together what is meant bad payers and what banks offer loans to those who find themselves with such a wording in the cry database.

What Bad Payers Means

The bad payer is a person who in the past already contracted mortgages, loans or small loans intended for the purchase of some consumer goods, but has not respected the payment terms provided for by the contract stipulated.

The bad payer, therefore, is who has not paid one or more installments or paid the same often late.

So those who have not paid one or more installments, or have done so late, leads the bank or financial institution to send the SIC a report to the central risk, subsequently resulting as a “bad payer” even within the CRIF database.

When you become Bad Payers

The bad payer is the one who does not pay the debts incurred with banks and financial institutions correctly. But exactly when you are registered or reported to the crif?

Usually, the report occurs when:

  • You pay a late installment, more than 7 days after the deadline;
  • You do not pay one or more consecutive installments;
  • You finish paying a loan late compared to the predetermined date.

When more or less important delays are caused, therefore, you become bad payers, and the banks by consulting the credit information system or the CRIF, can identify this lack and consequently decide not to give a loan, as they think that the applicant is not reliable.

Bad Payers: How to Know

How do you know you’re bad payers? Maybe you only paid a late installment or forgot it and you missed it completely by paying it the next month, or beyond the duration of the loan. So how to check your position?

If after one or more installments you do not receive any letter from the SIC that informs you that you have been reported as a bad payer, you can control your situation through a visura.

Both at the SIC and the CRIF it is possible to request a visura in your own name, by filling out a simple form (you can do it directly online on the official database sites) and completely free of charge.

From the visura you can check if you have been reported as insolvent or bad payer, and you can see how long the report has been there and understand how you can see the data deletion on your behalf.

Bad payers: how to unsubscribe from the list

Many offer paid services for deletion from the CRIF database, you need to know that this is not possible! You cannot erase your presence on the list of bad payers by paying a sum, whatever it may be.

The data is in fact an objective survey that remains available to banks and financial institutions until the time limits for automatic cancellation are suspended.

So you can not delete from the list of bad payers, but you have to wait for the time to pass, after which, the report is automatically deleted from the CRIF or SIC.

If, on the other hand, the sending of the report to the CRIF was made by mistake by the bank, and in reality you have always paid installments and mortgages the predetermined date, being an error of the institution, you will have to turn to this and request the communication of the error to the CRIF and consequently the cancellation of the negative data.

Who grants loans to bad payer

When you are faced with the report as bad payers it can be difficult to get a loan or a loan. In fact, banks and financial institutions, usually before granting a loan, ensure the customer’s profile through the Credit Information System.

If the name of the applicant is found and, consequently, the last delays in the payment of an instalment or a loan are illustrated, it will be difficult for the bank, whatever it may be, to grant a new loan.

Since in most cases the demands from bad payers are rejected, how can you get a new loan?

In fact, there is a form of loan that is accepted by the banks: the Cession of the Fifth of the pension or the Salary.

In this case, the loan is granted by banks and financial institutions, because the installment is taken directly from the salary or pension, then is paid, subtracting it from the salary or the pension institution.

Reporting CRIF: how long it lasts

How much to the CRIF report does it last? The reporting in any database for credit information in Italy has duration times that change depending on why you have been reported as bad payers.

So the negative data has a limit duration, passed this, is deleted from the databases.

The retention times of negative data (in the case of subsequent regularization by the customer) depending on the type of delay, are erased in a maximum time of 36 months.

But let’s see in detail the cancellation times for each type of report as a bad payer:

  • Dicesity of two installments, subsequently healed (12 months after regularization);
  • Delays of more than two months, healed after the scheduled time (after 24 months from regularization);
  • Dignation, suffering and serious unremedied obligations (36 months from the date of expiry of the contract, with subsequent renewal in case of non-rehabilitation).

So to be canceled from the list of bad payers it is necessary to heal the debt for which you have been reported and wait up to a maximum of 36 months.

Keep in mind, however, that you need it during the months in which you have been reported, do not make new payments late. In fact, if you make new payments late, the report is renewed again and you must therefore wait again for the period to cancel.
